Synopsis

(Spoiler Alert!!)

"Made in Heaven" is a captivating web series that takes us into the lives of two wedding planners, Tara and Karan, who run a company called "Made in Heaven." Based in Delhi, the series explores the glitz, glamour and hidden realities of the wedding industry in India.

The series features a brilliant cast, including Sobhita Dhulipala, Arjun Mathur, Jim Sarbh, Shashank Arora, Kalki Koechlin and Shivani Raghuvanshi.

Tara and Karan, played by Sobhita Dhulipala and Arjun Mathur respectively, are not only business partners but also close friends. They are both ambitious and passionate about their work but they also have their own personal struggles to deal with. The series very beautifully portrays today's India as a blend of old and new, where tradition and modern aspirations are at loggerheads.

Throughout the series, we witness Tara and Karan planning and executing weddings for different couples, each with their own unique challenges and stories. From extravagant celebrity weddings to more intimate ceremonies, "Made in Heaven" showcases the diverse range of weddings in India.

But beyond the surface-level celebrations, the series delves into the complexities of relationships and societal issues. Tara, a woman from a small town, is married to a very rich and influential man named Adil, but their marriage is far from perfect. Tara finds solace in her work and also makes effort to change societal norms and expectations.

Karan, on the other hand, is a gay man who faces his own set of challenges in a society that is not always accepting of his sexuality. He dreams of finding true love and acceptance, all while dealing with the pressures of conforming to societal norms. His journey is a poignant exploration of identity, self-acceptance and the search for happiness.

As the series progresses, we get to know the couples and their families on a deeper level. We witness the intricacies of arranged marriages, interfaith unions and the struggles faced by women in patriarchal societies. "Made in Heaven" tackles sensitive topics such as dowry, infidelity and the pressure to conform to societal expectations.

The series also sheds light on the hidden realities behind the grandeur of Indian weddings. It explores themes of class divide, gender inequality, and the pursuit of happiness amidst societal pressures. It challenges conventions and offers a nuanced perspective on love, marriage and the complexities of human relationships.

"Made in Heaven" has garnered critical acclaim for its realistic portrayal of relationships and societal issues. It is a thought-provoking series that takes a deep dive into the complexities of modern-day India, where dreams are made and secrets are unveiled.

Message Revealed

"Made in Heaven" also delivers a powerful message about the hidden realities behind the grand Indian weddings. It exposes the societal pressures, gender inequalities and class divides that exist within the wedding industry.

The series prompts us to question and challenge these conventions, advocating for more inclusive and equal celebrations of love.

Additionally, "Made in Heaven" highlights the significance of personal growth, self-discovery and the pursuit of one's dreams, even in the face of adversity. It encourages viewers to embrace their individuality, break free from societal expectations and find their own path to happiness and fulfilment.

The show makes a good case for love at first sight and for the idea that "heaven is where the future is born."
