Film Review : Adipurush : A Movie That Offers a Surreal Visual Experience
The movie is based on Ramayana and Indian Hindu mythology films. the film is about how lord ram defeat Ravan and wins Seta back with the help of his vanar Seena and Hanuman in this movie lord ram, Lakshman, and Mata Seta (wife of lord ram ) have to go to the jungle for 14 years of exile (vanvas ) where the sister of Ravan (Shurpanakha) likes ram and wanted to marry him but lord ram denied and Lakshman cuts her nose and for taking the revenge of his sister Ravan kidnaps Mata Sita and takes her to Lanka, leaving her in Ashokvatika.

The most recent movie is by Adipurush directed by Om Raut and produced by t- series and Retrophiles. In a movie with Indian mythology, the leading actor and actresses are Prabhas and Kriti Sanon a well-known personality of Bollywood both do anonymous hit movies. the movie was released on 16th June 2023.
Prabhas becomes everyone’s favourite since Bahubali came out as the most-rated movie in India. He gives all his dedication to his movie and becomes the favourite movie among youngsters the youth was so impressed by his role as Bahubali.
Kriti Sanon is also a very known personality from the film industry. She did so many hit movies in her career like luka chuppa, Mimi, and Heropanti. The upcoming movie of both of them has to face much criticism and hate along with the wishes and blessings. The movie is based on Ramayana but according to the audience the movie was not up to the mark there are so many mistakes and false vfxs that can be seen in the movie.
According to the audience, the movie has shown the wrong story, everyone knows the Ramayana. Therefore audience has high expectations from the movie but the movie was not up to the mark. Several scenes are not liked by the audience. People say the series made by ramanand sagar made the brilliant jam of a series that is unbeatable by anyone in the industry.
Some are saying on social media Prabha's talent has been wasted through this movie. The language and the dialogue delivery are very informal. In this movie, Seta was said to be Indian whereas the Nepal citizens are protesting against the movie as she belongs to Nepal. Someone said on social media that om raut wasted 600 cr. and uses the Ramayana word for commercial use.
After this controversy in Nepal, Om Raut has to edit the scene only then the movie will be cast. Ramayana has a different place in the heart of people in India. Ramanand Sagar has taken all the concern about the sentimental of the people in India while he was casting this to television.
The chief priest of Ayutthaya “s Ram mandir appeals to ban the movie because according to him Ram, Lakshman, and Ravan are misrepresented in the movie. The dialogues were written by Manoj Muntashir and the dialogues were very inappropriate and irrelevant to the Hindu myth the way lord hanuman speaks was very polite and respectful no matter who else is there in front of them.
The movie was trolled because of their dialogues the dialogue in the movie is “कपड़ा तेरे बाप का, तेल तेरे बाप का, लंका तेरे बाप की, तो जलेगी भी तेरे बाप की।".
The VFX used in this movie is the most underrated part of the movie. People said that the filmmaker haven’t researched before making this and wanted to make it an action movie. The Ravan “s Lanka is said to be the Lanka of gold but in the movie, the Lanka is shown as metallic like in the movie of Hollywood.
The role of Ravan is played by Saif Ali Khan he got appreciation from the audience because of his acting but the costume and the look given to him is the worst part of the movie, he was wearing light clothes, a sacred thread (janeu) around his chest and heavy ornaments with a gold crown.
The Ravan was shown without his crown many times. According to the audience, most of the movie is only VFXs rather than the acting of actors and the lead character lord ram ( prabhas ) shows the wrong image of lord ram as in the movie he use to wear leather a leather strap instead of a sacred thread, wearing white instead of bhagwan.
The movie skips the scenery and the beautiful journey and the move seems like it is more focused on fights, exactly what you would call a movie about war. There is a scene where Ravan is taking Seta and lord ram is running behind Ravan's Vahan ( i.e. Big Bat shown by the movie ) but in the original series cast by ramanand sagar ram was unaware of what happened with Seta before jaataiyo told him.
The bottom line
The movie has to face more hate and allegations of misrepresents and inappropriate presentation and inappropriate use of language in dialogues by the audience. According to social media, the director Om Raut has to research more and looked before the release of the movie.
