Ugly love is hands down an emotional ride for all the young adults out there. What makes it more relatable is how it portrays romance in the modern times. From situationships to immature acts, the novel covers love in the most unexpected ways.


Tate is a nurse who moves on to live with her brother Corbin, they both move in together and all the men in Tate’s life are pilots including the mysterious, cold but extremely hot neighbour,Miles. Miles,however, wants to steer clear of all romantic relationships and is only looking to keep things physical.

With heartbreak, beautiful sunsets and steamy scenes, the novel delivers an almost heartbreaking yet love stuck experience. The novel not only covers Tate’s pov but also Miles’ past. He has had the love of his life leave her and all things south since the beginning of their relationship. However, he is heartbroken due to what happened between them and promised his former lover how he would never fall in love with anybody else.



Wth promises made to keep things just physical, both Tate and Miles build some ground rules for the relationships, nothing about the past and no expectations for the future. However, love is always discovered in the most unexpected situations.

Tate is the first one to fall in love and man does she fall too much. Miles is taken aback and does everything he can to avoid his feelings. But when he visits Rachel again he discovers how love can be found in the most unexpected ways yet it is also worthy of another chance.


My Verdict


The novel is too consuming, yet a wonderful read. You’ll have your heart invested since the beginning. Just like me, you might hate mIles in the beginning just a little but as his life slowly unfolds you begin to realise how ugly love and life had been to him yet he tries to overcome it all with Tate.


Book Review: As compared to other novels like It ends with us, this novel covers more of what present day relationships appear for some people. The novel has plenty of steamy scenes and if you’re looking for a read that is fun, loving and also too mesmerising,give this book a try and you will end it with a smile.
