Delhi air pollution today: This year, Delhi and its surrounding regions are experiencing extreme weather conditions. With the temperature falling to 3 degrees, Delhiites are finding it difficult to breathe especially in the mornings and evenings.

The government has closed schools till the 15th of January. The government also considers WFH for offices. However, netizens have taken to social media to demand the closing of colleges and all private and government institutions till the weather conditions improve.

With worsening air quality index. The government has banned the usage of BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel engines to combat the present situation. On Monday, a lot of citizens reported poor visibility and breathing problems during the morning hours.

As a result, The Commission for Air Quality Management has mandated the immediate practice of anti-pollution measures. At present, the ban only lasts till 13th January but the officials report that it would be uplifted if the condition improves any time before that.

Do’s and Dont’s for this weather:

2. Avoid eating from outside and cook meals with traditional spices that help boost immunity.

4. If you’re caught in Delhi fog while on the road, make sure that you turn on the headlights and both indicators. Drive slow if required and avoid all distractions like loud music, Bluetooth devices and mobile phones.

5. The “yellow alert” marks the warning to be careful about the dense fog and chilly weather in the region.
