Black Adam Explained: Weak, Action-Packed Storyline

Black Adam Explained: The long-awaited DCEU movie has been released this Thursday in India and the early reviews of the DC fans have been out, Many of the fans liked the 2-hour movie while most of them are dissatisfied with the movie.

This movie was one of the dream projects of Dwayne The Rock Johnson, so it would not be strange to say that the whole USP of the movie was its star cast and mainly the Hollywood superstar The Rock.

This movie was the second movie of this year by the Warner Brothers under the banner of DC in DC Extended Universe, and they have literally disappointed the fans in a few aspects but they have also logically bonded the DCEU and have opened the future opportunities for the Studios.

The Movie Black Adam starts with an introduction to the city of Kahndaq, with the introduction of Hurst son of The Black Adam in the movie, where this whole scenario takes place in the past narrated by the son of Isis, one of the characters who live in the modern Kahndaq with her son and brother.

The first half of the movie just introduces the variety of characters and set-ups the arc of the movie with some really good action sequences in it. The first half of the movie is pacy and makes the viewer get invested in the movie but it fails to do the same.

The movie itself tells you not to expect any drama or emotions from it instead it shows what the viewer want from the Black Adam. Action sequences of the Black Adam are eye-catching and entertaining, where the character of the Black Adam looks confident and at the same time it looks confusing too.

Supporting characters of Dr Fate, Hawkman, Atom-smasher, and cyclone are good and they do their act very well but at the same time, it feels that the movie lacks to connect them with the audience. Introducing the whole Justice Society in just a snap without any back story feels fleshy.

It Is just Hawkman who makes to create an impact on the screen after the Black Adam himself. Peirce Brosnan has done his job really well and has cached the eyes of many of the fans in the costume of DrFate.

The storyline of the movie is weak and so is the adaptation of the characters from the comics, Dwayne Johnson has only one expression for his character Black Adam, there are some lighter moments too in the movie but they fail to create an impact and even some times it feels that Black Adam is shown over-powered in the movie.

The movie lacks to answer some crucial questions but in the end, it’s all fine as it seems that this all was the demand of the character.

On the other side, the level of action this movie serves is just awesome and have been choreographed amazingly, the movie has some really brutal killing scenes and it could have been A-rated easily due to that but it is not.

Creators have tried to make the movie dark but they have failed to impact the same viewers,

This movie is about 2 hours long and it doesn’t let the viewer’s eyes quit the screen for even a second, character development in the movie is very poor except for the Black Adam, viewers don’t really connect with the characters which makes it weakest point of the movie and the “sacrifices” just go in vain,

The cinematography and the camera work of the movie seem pretty average and fail to create excitement among the viewers, Visuals of the movie are amazing and exciting, whenever the cyclone or Dr Fate uses their power, it just amazes the viewers.

The CGI and VFX of the movie are amazing.

Black Adam Explained: Apart from the negatives and the positives, this movie really creates some questions about the DCEU, Movie has a Mid-Credit scene and it ends with a cliffhanger too.

The motive of the movie to create an impact in the DCEU has been successful and with that Warner Bros. has also confirmed some really exciting characters in DCEU.

There are some flaws in the movie but the movie is entertaining.
