Plot ( Spoiler Alert!)

There is no doubt to the fact that we’ve had our eyes set on this movie for so long. With Bhool Bhulaiyaa being a super hit movie and making over 82 crores, people have had a lot of expectations from this sequel. Is this sequel really worth watching? Is Kartik Aryan the gen z Akshay Kumar? Does it live upto the plot of the original movie? Read to know more.

The movie made a lot of buzz even before hitting the theatres and mostly for its brand name. Akshay Kumar in Bhool Bhulaiyaa gave a splendid performance. The movie still falls on our favourite weekend-movies list. With its sequel, all we want to know that is the plot anyway similar?

Well, for most of the part it is not the same. The two movies are entirely different with different characters and different scene sets.Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is all about masala that is definitely going to set you on for a humorous ride. The first half is going to get you to laugh and hooked to your seats.

However, for some the second part of the movie maybe a little slower but still it is worth waiting till the end.

Our takeaway in the movie is Tabu. Her role is everything from scary to sophisticated and diplomatic. Well, she might not be like Vidya Balan’s character but she is different and all the more spooky. She is the new Manjulika and she would definitely scare you everytime she is on the screen.

The comic dialogues however lighten up the movie, preventing it from being a complete horror. Kartik Aryan is adorable and funny throughout. Everytime that he is on-screen you would laugh merely just by looking at him. He is like a stand-up comedian playing a horror role in this movie. Weird, isn't it? Well weird is not even close.

"Muje bhi tum bilkul pasand nahi ho" - Kiara Advani

There are a number of references that will act as a throwback to the original movie. You will totally be reminded of Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan for good reasons. Rajpal Yadav in his role of the iconic Chota Pandit saves the film.

Just like the original movie, the sequel isn't about a love story but about two sisters, entirely different from each other, who are caught up in the mess of love. The climax is going to be unexpected and totally different from what you had in mind and that's exactly where this movie plays out.

My Personal Verdict

The movie is surely fun-packed and funny if you enter the theatre without comparing it with the original, because the original will always be a classic. The movie as a standalone is amazing and Kartik Aryan really gave a hit to the bollywood industry after a long time.

My Ratings for the movie- 4 on 5
